What our clients are saying:
“The personal service I receive at Pinnacle far exceeds that of any other bank with which I have dealt. There's much more personal attention and concern for my needs.”

Remote Deposit

Take advantage of the latest technology to streamline your deposit process. You can now deposit checks into your account, at any time of day, without ever leaving your office. The recent passage of the Check Clearing for 21st Century Act (Check 21) enables financial institutions to transmit check information electronically.

How It Works

Pinnacle's treasury management team will work with you to choose a compact check scanner, which reads the Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) line at the bottom of each check and captures an image of the check. Simply scan all your checks, and the system will prepare the deposit slip and transmit the images to Pinnacle over a secure web site connection. Pinnacle receives the electronic transmission and posts a deposit to your account for the total amount of the scanned checks. No paper needs to be sent to Pinnacle. You should destroy the actual checks after you have confirmed that the images were transmitted successfully and were of good quality.

Research and Check Image Viewing

Since you are scanning the checks at your office, you now have an electronic image of all checks deposited. No searching through photocopies to retrieve check information. This will be beneficial when you are trying to research what items were included in a deposit for a particular day. The archive will maintain a rolling history of two-and-a-half years.

Technical Requirements

In addition to the desktop check scanner, a business should have an internet ready PC in order to make a remote deposit. More specifically, browser software needs to support a 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection (i.e. Microsoft Explorer 5.5 or newer and Netscape 4.0 or newer).

System Administration

One person at your company is designated as the System Administrator. The Administrator has the ability to add or edit the authority of other persons to use the system. This allows you to set up one person to capture scanned check information and another person to approve the information before it is transmitted for deposit.
